Nagpur: Founder and Chairman of Solar Industries India Limited, Mr. Satyanarayan Nuwal, has been awarded the prestigious Padma Shri for his outstanding contribution to industry and society, bringing a moment of pride for Nagpur.
Mr. Nuwal is widely recognised for building Solar Industries into a globally respected enterprise while maintaining a strong commitment to social responsibility. Beyond the industrial sector, his consistent support for education, community development, and social welfare has earned him admiration across the country.
For the year 2026, the President of India has approved the conferment of 131 Padma awards. The list includes five Padma Vibhushan, 13 Padma Bhushan, and 113 Padma Shri, according to an official government statement released on Sunday.
Among the top honours, former Kerala Chief Minister and veteran communist leader V S Achuthanandan and legendary actor Dharmendra have been awarded the Padma Vibhushan, the country’s second-highest civilian honour, posthumously for 2026.
The Padma Shri recognition of Mr. Nuwal highlights not only his professional achievements but also his contribution to nation-building through inclusive growth and social initiatives.
