Social Awareness activity held at GNIET under the unit of NSS

Guru Nanak Institutions believe that they not just make good engineers & technocrats but also excellent human beings. NSS unit of GNIET Group of Intuitions recently organized an awareness programme in the campus for the students, Vishwas Pullarwar, Sahayak Police Niyatran Kakshak, Nagpur was present during the programme. Students were briefed about road safety, and wearing helmets mandatorily in order to avoid mishaps.

Subjects such as rash driving, drink and drive, traffic sense, etc were being discussed during the meet. The Grahmin police of Kalmeshwar, Nagpur Branch together have started the awareness campaign called “ek koshish” to spread awareness regarding social facets and accidents. A special street play subjecting eve teasing was demonstrated by the students of the college.

The programme was attended by S.Navneet Singh Tuli, CMD, GNI, Tanpreet Kaur Tuli, MD, GNI and Prof Sanjeev Shrivastava, CEO, GNI who also encouraged the students to drive carefully, especially emphasizing on the importance of avoiding the usage of mobile phones while riding and being attentive while driving. Other faculty members and students were present in a large number. Rupali Dorkhande, student of 7th semester ETC branch anchored the event. The Event was organised by Prof. RA Hiwarkar, Co-ordinator, NSS.
