Nagpur:
SNDL, the power distribution franchisee, took the concept of ‘safety’ with ‘electrical infrastructure’ ahead on Rakhi festival to spread a message. SNDL installed banners near certain DTCs (transformers) where the company observed power losses of more than 50% consistently over the last few years. These are also the DTCs where public at large has opposed, mobbed, manhandled and even put wrong allegations on the teams of SNDL that have tried to conduct ‘cleaning up’ exercise in the interest of consumers itself.

The SNDL banners have put forth certain questions to the public that whether they are even aware about the safety of their own kith-and-kin, and if yes do they understand that when they use various methods to conduct power theft it puts them at risk.

A few such locations where these banners have been posted are — Gaddigodam, Gol Bazar, Lashkaribagh, Hazaripahad, Hasanbagh, Tajbagh, Wathoda, Bagadganj, Boriyapura, Bhaldarpura, Barseghat, Baba Buddhaji Nagar, Farrukh Nagar, Ganjipeth, Mahendra Nagar, Teka-Nai Basti, Parvesh Nagar, Yashodhara Nagar and Shivaji Chowk. The banners drew attention of people who photographed the banners on their own Whatsapp and other social media channels.
