Nagpur:
In order to save the consumers from the problem of load-shedding in Zone-3 and to regularize the perfect flow of electricity supply, the SNDL has commissoned a new 33/11 KV sub-station on Umred Road in the city. With this, the present 11 KV switching station on Umred Road has been upgraded.

Its commissioning was formally done at the hands of Mahavitaran Chief Engineer (NUZ) Prasad Reshame on Thursday, Nov 5.

It may be mentioned that as the city is getting developed, the citizens of more developed areas were facing intermittent cuts in power supply. Accordingly, the SNDL’s O&M team has now got the problem of overloading/ load-shedding removed.

The SNDL sources said, this extension work required investment of about Rs 2 crore. And now, more than 25,000 consumers/residents of Raghuji Nagar, Ayurved College, Umred Road, Bagadganj and areas close to Nadanvan Zone will be benefited by this sub-station, added the sources.
