Smriti Irani’s sudden visit to RSS Hqrs can’t be ordinary

Nagpur: Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Smriti Irani, unexpectedly arrived in the city on the morning of Aug 26. She visited RSS headqurters here in the city and held talks with Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat for an hour, said the sources.

According to Sangh sources, it was an informal visit. Speculations are however being made, as, Smriti Irani must have apprised RSS chief with the functioning of her ministry.

It may be mentioned that RSS is interested in the ministry being handled by Irani, for her ministry is believed to be the base of educational activities of Sangh, said the knowledgeable sources, adding that RSS is in favour of bringing some changes in the existing educational system, though for this the attacks are being made on the government at the Centre as well as on Smriti Irani in person.
However, the Sangh is firmly standing with Irani. One thing needs to be mentioned here that the Sangh is bent upon weakening the Nehru-oriented as well as Leftist ideology in all educational institutions, and the HRD ministry is also functioning in this direction. This being the apprehension behind politics, her visit cannot be called informal.
