Sitabuldi cops save life of youth, nab 4 attackers within hours

Nagpur: In a swift action the Sitabuldi police not only saved the life of a youth was attacked with sharp-edged weapons by some persons but also nabbed the four accused within hours of the crime.

The victim is a worker of Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (NMRCL). The arrested accused have been identified as Rohit alias Sonu Sajan Malik (28), a resident of Thakkargram, Pachpaoli, Rishabh Radheshyam Chainwar (23),a resident of Pili Marbat Chowk, Lal Darwaza, Pachpaoli, Saurabh Sridhar Gode (21), a resident of Tandapeth, and Vikas Raju Bhamode (22), a resident of Tumde Mohalla, Pachpaoli.

Sitabuldi police around 8.10 pm on Friday, received a wireless message from Control Room that some persons were attacking a young man with sharp-edged weapons in front of the temple near Sitabuldi Police Quarters. Cops rushed to the spot and found the young man lying in a pool of blood. They rushed him to Mayo Hospital. Due to timely action by the police, the doctors succeeded in saving his life. Later, he told police that his name was Aakash Manoj Paisadali (29) and resides in Bezonbag. He was working as a watchman at a Metrol Rail project site. The accused picked quarrel with Aakash at Metro construction site and attacked him with sharp-edged weapon.

During investigation, cops came to know to know that two of the the accused fled on a red coloured Bajaj Pulsar bike. One of the accused wore a gray colour shirt and had masked his face with a white scarf and ther accused was wearing orange coloured shirt. With this information, cops formed two squads and succeeded in nabbing the accused within 10 hours of the crime.

The accused quartet have been arrested on charges under Sections 307 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The arrests were made by Senior PI Jagvendra Rajput, API Arvind Pawar, API PM Kale, PSI Arjun Rajput and others under the supervision of DCP (Zone II) Chinmay Pandit and ACP Rajendra Boraoke
