Megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda’s father-in-law, Rajan Nanda passed away in Delhi. The Chairman and Managing Director of Escorts Limited was the husband of late actor Raj Kapoor’s daughter Ritu Nanda. He was declared brain dead at a hospital. The news was confirmed by actor Ranbir Kapoor’s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahani. People are offering condolences to the family.
Riddhima took to social networking site Instagram and wrote, “You were are & will always be a legend! Thank you for all the love always – will miss you so much uncle – until we meet again RIP uncle Rajan.”
Big B also thanked fans for offering condolences through his tweet. Rajnish Sharma also took to micro-blogging site Twitter to express grief. He wrote, “Dear FB and Twitter friends, I need to share a very sad news. Our ESCORTS Group Chairman Shri Rajan Nanda is no more. An era comes to an end. May his blessed soul rest in peace. — feeling sad.”
Late Rajan Nanda is survived by two children Nikhil, Natasha Nanda and wife.
Escorts Group is a renowned Indian engineering company that works in the sectors of construction and material handling equipment, agri-machinery and railway equipment. Shweta’s husband Nikhil Nanda is the Managing Director of the company.
