Nagpur: In an effort to enhance service reliability, OCW (Orange City Water) & NMC (Nagpur Municipal Corporation) has planned an 18-hour shutdown of Kanhan WTP on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 10:00 AM to Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 04:00 PM.
The shutdown is scheduled to take place for below mentioned reasons:
Renewal of 900mm Butterfly Valve on Dry Well No. 1 common Pumping Outlet Pipeline at Kanhan WTP
Replacement of 600 mm duck-foot bend of Pump No. 2 inside Intake well
Installation of Electromagnetic FM on Lakadganj-1 ESR 600mm Inlet water pipeline
During this period, the following areas will experience a disruption in water supply:
Ashi Nagar Zone: Binaki Exist. ESR, Binaki-I ESR, Binaki Prop-II ESR, Uppalwadi NIT ESR, Indora 1 ESR, Indora 2 ESR, Bezonbagh ESR, Gamdoor DT, Jaswant DT
Satranjipura Zone: Shanti Nagar ESR, Wanjri/Vinoba Bhave Nagar ESR, Kalamna NIT, Bastarwadi IA, Bastarwadi IB, Bastarwadi 2
Lakadganj Zone: Bharatwadi ESR, Kalamna ESR, Subhan Nagar ESR, Minimata ESR, Bhandewadi ESR, Lakadganj ESR 1, Lakadganj ESR 2, Babulban ESR, Pardi 1 ESR, Pardi 2 ESR
Nehru nagar Zone: Nandanvan ESR (Old), Nandanvan prop ESR-1, Nandanvan prop ESR-2 (Rajiv Gandhi), Tajbagh ESR, Kharbi ESR, Sakkardara III ESR, Wathoda ESR
During this period, there will be no water supply in these affected areas, and water tanker service will also be temporarily unavailable. This may cause the residents in the affected areas and we appreciate your understanding as we work to improve our infrastructure.
