Nagpur: A hardware trader was robbed of Rs 2.16 lakh by unidentified miscreants in Itwari area of Tehsil police juridiction on Sunday.
A resident of Flat No. G18, Anand Palace Apartment, Plot No. 235, Nandanvan Layout, Virendrakumar Malchand Maheshwari (65) runs a shop named Hardware at Loka Oli, Itwari. On Sunday around 0510 hours, Virendrakumar kept his green coloured bag containing Rs 2.16 lakh cash in the dicky of his Activa (MH-31/BR 3465).
He later went to shop for bringing bank slip for depositing the money. Between 0510 hours and 11 am, unidentified miscreants opened the dicky of the Activa and decamped with the bag containing Rs 2.16 lakh cash. When Virendrakumar returned to his Activa, he found dicky open and the bag missing.
Tehsil cops, based on Virendrakumar’s complaint, registered a case under Section 379 of the IPC and launched a search for the unidentified burglars.
