Nagpur: Anybody can set up a Bamboo lab, via proposal by Maharashtra Bamboo Development Board which eventually get support from National Bamboo Mission it will be a great service to the region and nation, asserted Shri. Shrinivas Rao, MD of Maharashtra Bamboo Development Board.

Rashtriya Bans Divas Logo & Website was unveiled at the hands of Chief guest of the program Shri. Shrinivas Rao, President of Maharashtra Bamboo Development Board. Later Bamboo anthem was officially played amongst the dignitaries & audience present at the venue. He said, accreditation according to the guidelines of NBM (National Bamboo Mission) is very essential.

For accreditation we have going up for the local species most, there about 19 Bamboo species. 101 Bambusetum Plantation Project, Bamboo Farmers Carbon Credit Program were officially announced and commenced on this occasion.

Shri. Kishor Mishrikotkar, Deputy GM of Maharashtra Ecotourism Board, Retd. RFO congratulated the initiative by Katalyser Foundation & shared his thoughts before the audience. He said that to engage more & more farmers in the Bamboo movement the registration process must be easy & interactive.

After his speech Ashish Kaswa ji promised & told the simplicity of the registration process for farmers which is going to be totally free of cost. Later a presentation on Bamboo farming & Bambusetum was shown to propagate important information to the audience.

The founder of World Bamboo Day & Founder of SAbF Shri. Kamesh Salam spoke on World Bamboo Day celebration at Thailand & Bamboo & Carbon Farming. Dr. Muralidharan E. M, Retired Scientist – KFRI & Chair, INBAR Task Force on Sustainable Bamboo Management put light on bamboo farming culture & its scientific process, steps for implement sustainable Bamboo Culture.

Sunil Joshi, Veteran Bamboo Architect, Dr. Ajay Thakur HOD, FRI Dehradun were amongst amongst the prominent names joining the initiative.

At the, Katalyser Foundation’s initiative & the importance of the cause for Sustainable Bamboo living & celebrating Rashtriya Bans Diwas was introduced by S commencementhri. Dr. Manoj Salpekar ji. Story behind the creation of Bamboo anthem was unfolded by the creator Architect Sunil Joshi himself. Smt. Sujata Ashish Kaswa ji read the greeting message on account of celebration of Rashtriya Bans Divas by Shri. Nitin Gadkari ji, Honourable Union Minister for Road & Transport. Later Ashish Kaswa, Founder Katalyser Foundation communicated the message by Shri. Sudhir Mungantiwar ji, Honourable Minister for Forest, Government of Maharashtra.

He later explained his association with the Bamboo culture since 2010 from ancient learnings in Vedas to modern research which eventually lead to Bamboo Farming & other initiatives. He announced that, Bamboo Farmers will get the benefit of Carbon Credit as Katalyser Foundation has signed a MoU with an American Company recently. The Bamboo farmers registration will be opened from today itself to send make arrangements for farm review. Program was compared by Dr. Manoj Salpekar & the vote of thanks was done by Prateek Kaswa ji, co-founder of Katalyser Foundation.
