Gearing up the trail of nomination filing, BJP’s top brass Nitin Gadkari and Shiv Sena’s Krupal Tumane filed papers on Saturday from Nagpur and Ramtek parliamentary constituencies respectively. Both Gadkari and Tumane reached the district collectorate amidst the huge crowd of their supporters sloganeering their way to the office. In a major show of strength, nearly 50,000-75,000 BJP and Shiv Sena activists and party workers including youth and children thronged to make the nomination a grand affair.
Nitin Gadkari and Krupal Tomane were accompanied by Vinod Tawde, State Chief of BJP Devendra Fadnavis, former MP Banwarilal Purohit, Sudhakar Deshmukh, Krishna Khopde and Vikas Khumbare and many other prominent BJP activists.
Addressing the media after filing the nomination papers, Gadkari extended thanks to his party workers and supporters for retaining their trust on him. “With the very favourable alliance of BJP with Shiv Sena, the enthusiasm and zeal have been doubled. I am 101 per cent sure that I will win the Lok Sabha polls. Nagpur is a place where I was born and grew up; people know me and have seen my pro-active work for the masses, so I am confident of my winning,” Gakari exuded.
Nitin Gadkari however refused to pass any comment on any other rival party or candidates. While answering a question on Badal’s statement in Delhi, he said that we have Narendra Modi as our prime-ministerial candidate and that is all that matters to us.
While answering on a question about some people of the party angry over the distribution of tickets, he said that only one person can fight from a symbol or party and so the tickets were distributed judiciously only.
While answering the question on some comment that appeared on Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece Saamna, he plainly replied that he was yet to read that article.
Shiv Sena Candidate Krupal Tumane said that he is happy with the Shiv Sena – BJP alliance. He also added that Shiv Sena will support Narendra Modi in becoming Prime Minister. He added that since the populace of Ramtek includes 95% of farmers, Shiv Sena will fight for the causes of Farmers. He said that the crops were destroyed by the hail storm that hit Ramtek recently; he will certainly fight for proper compensation for the loss from the government. He said that he will ensure that farmers will get justice. He said that the next looming problem of Ramtek is unemployment. He said that If Nitin Gadkari wins, then he will ensure SEZ and MIHAN come up soon and many industries are set up there creating employment for the youth of Ramtek and Nagpur. He said that His party has been fighting for various issues in the last 5 years. He added that their party will continue to fight for the rights of farmers, poor and needy people, unemployed youth etc. He is confident that he will surely win from Ramtek.
