Nagpur: Headquarters Maintenance Command Indian Air Force organized a joint seminar with centre for Air Power Studies (CAPS) on 08 Feb 18 at HQ MC, IAF Nagpur. The theme of the seminar was “New Security Environment: Challenges for the IAF”.
The seminar was inaugurated by Air Marshal Hemant Sharma AVSM VSM, Air Officer Commanding in Chief, Headquarters Maintenance Command. The Aim of the seminar was to address the challenges for the Indian Air Force in the new security environment.
The inaugural session commenced with the opening address by Air Marshal Vinod Patney, SYSM PVSM AVSM VrC (Retd), Director General, Centre for Air Power Studies. During the seminar speakers presented their views on relevant issues like trends in terrorism, changing dynamics in the Indo-Pacific region, new factors in National Security calculus and indigenization and sustenance of IAF assets.
