Nagpur: In what could be mentioned as a blind case, a Worker of country liquor vend was murdered by crushing his head with a boulder in Lakhadganj area late in the night of March 17, 2016.
According to police sources, the deceased is identified as Manoj Ramdas Wamankar aged 45 years and a resident of Karbi area. Sources claimed that the deceased Manoj had some quarrel with his family members and was working and staying at the country liquor vend itself. Why and who had killed him is not known as yet.
On receiving the information on March 18, 2016, Police Inspector of Lakhadganj Police Station, PI S B Mane and his team reached the crime spot. Sources claimed that the Country Liquor Vend is owned by a person identified as S S Khante near Danaganj Square.
The deceased Manoj Wamankar was the Worker working in the Country Liquor Vend. Late in the night, he had his dinner and went to sleep in the Verandah of the shop. Early in the morning of March 18, 2016, did the police receive information about the murder. PI Mane and his team took into their custody, the boulder which was used in committing the murder by hitting Manoj on his head. After necessary formalities, the cops dispatched the body to Government Medical College and Hospital for post mortem.
The Lakhadganj Police has registered a case of murder and is investigating into the murder.
