SECR organises seminar as part of ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’

Nagpur: The Nagpur Division of South East Central Railway on Wednesday organised a seminar at Rail Museum Motibagh at part of ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ (Cleanliness Fortnight) which is being observed from August 16 to 31 across the country. The seminar stressed cleanliness and maintenance at all stations of SECR in Nagpur Division, and railway colonies.

The seminar was attended by officials and employees of all departments. On the occasion, personnel from health, commercial, operations, engineering, mechanical departments expressed their views and highlighted cleanliness works at various stations through power point presentation.

At the outset, the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Amit Kumar Agrawal administered Swachhta pledge to all officials and employees present at the seminar and also planted a sapling in the premises of Rail Museum Motibagh.

A drawing contest on the subject of cleanliness was organised at Railway schools in Dongargarh and Nainpur on Thursday. A number of students participated enthusiastically in the contest.

Similarly, seminars and maintenance were organised at Dongargarh, Nainpur and Gondia stations with focus on cleanliness at railway stations and in trains throughout the ‘Pakhwada’. Various activities will be undertaken during the cleanliness fortnight. The ‘Pakhwada’ has been named as ‘Rail Swachhta Pakhwada’ and each date of the ‘Pakhwada’ has been associated with a particular theme pertaining to cleanliness.
