Nagpur: The Nagpur division of South Eastern Central Railway (/SECR) bagged fourteen shields besides being declared numero-uno in the overall efficiency parameters for which the overall efficiency shield was given in recognition of the best performance amongst all the divisions of the zone.
Various departments of the division including, commercial, personnel, signal and telecommunication, mechanical, electrical, medical, safety, security, stores, Rajbhasha and others showed outstanding performance during the year and won the shields for the year 2018-19.

Divisional Railway Manager, Shobhana Bandopadhyaya, received the award at the hands of S S Soin, General Manager, SECR. She said, infusion of work ethics amongst her team giving due emphasis on synergetic working amongst the various departments enabled the division to reach the top. The latest achievement was possible due to dedicated efforts of all the railway staff of the division, she remarked.
The sterling performance of the zone in achieving the targets of freight earnings, augmentation of infrastructure capacities, quantum leap in cleanliness at all railway establishments inclusive of station and circulating areas could be achieved due to adept performance of role assigned to the Division.
The performance of the division will excel further in the coming financial year after this much deserved recognition, she said.
She congratulated all the staff of SECR for receiving the shields and appealed to them to keep the good work going
