SECR makes available QR code on ticketing App

Nagpur: Nagpur division of South East Central Railway (SECRs) has made available the Quick Response (QR) code on unreserved ticketing system mobile App for the facilitation of the passengers.

With the new facility, passengers can book tickets from Bhandara Road, Dongargarh, Gondia, Itwari, Chhindwara and Itwari stations. QR code stickers have been pasted on various prominent places of the stations including the booking windows, enquiry windows and other places at the stations. This would give an opportunity to the passengers to book their tickets hassle free. The App can be downloaded from play store of smart phones.

As many as 29,000 passengers availed benefit of the new facility during the month of April, informs a press release issued by SECR. Moreover, passengers booking the tickets using the App can get a bonus of five per cent on each booking, the SECR press release says.

According to sources, Sontakke had gone to Nashik on Monday to attend a programme. On way back to Nagpur, the vehicle met with a mishap between Karnja Lad and Kherda village at around 5.30am. Fortunately no causalities were reported in the incident.
