Nagpur:
The State Election Commission, in view of oncoming NMC poll, has launched an app through which people can file their complaints to the poll panel. The “Citizens on Patrol App” could be used by people during the elections to 10 Municipal Corporations including NMC poll, Zilla Parishad elections across the state.

Complaints regarding code violation by candidates flood the SEC during the election process. However, people were forced to run from pillar to post to register their complaints. But now, the “Citizens on Patrol App” will make it for them to directly file complaints to poll panel.

Complaints regarding candidates violating code of conduct such as luring voters with promises plank, pressuring voters, seeking votes on the basis of religion etc could be filed directly to SEC.
