Sea of devotees throng Tekdi Road Hanuman Mandir

Nagpur: A sea of devotees thronged Tekdi Road Hanuman Mandir in the city on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti being celebrated on Saturday and participated in ‘Mahaprasad’. Around one and half lakh devotees not only from city but from outstation enjoyed the mahaprasad. The event has become an attraction in entire country. Incidentally, Hanuman Jayanti was on Saturday that led lakhs of devotees to visit the Shri Tekdi Road Mandir.

Earlier a ‘Mahabhishek’ of Lord Hanuman was performed at 5.15 am today at the temple. Later, Maha Arti was performed at 11.15 am. Hundreds of devotees, saints, and prominent personalities took part in both the rituals. Chanting of Hanuman Chalisa was done continuously. Many devotees danced to the tunes of dhol nagade. Mahaprasad was started thereafter and continued till midnight. Chants of Jai Shriram, Jai Hanuman reverberated all day. Bhajan Mandals rendered melodious bhajans one after another. The temple was decorated and illuminated with dazzling lightings.

Lord Hanuman is a fine blend of shakti (strength), yukti (wit) and bhakti (devotion). The Monkey God’s devotion to Lord Ram is peerless, naturally.
