City’s South Central Zone Cultural Centre, is all set for fresh round of symphony in sync with its tradition. The Center has been preparing to give a musical treat to citizen of Nagpur. The avid music lovers of Nagpur will get a chance to relish Indian folk music, Indian instruments and classical music at South Central Zone Cultural Centre here as the Ministry of Culture, Indian Government is organizing 23rd Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande Sangeet Samaroh. The three-day musical fest will be held on 30th, 31st July and 1st August at 6.30 PM at Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande Smruti Sabhagruha, Civil Line.

On the first day after the formal inauguration prize distribution of Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande Yuva Sangeet Pratiyogitaa will be done. After the prize distribution ceremony the musical journey will start with the Jugalbandi by Pt. Ronu Majumdar’s Flute and Ms. B. Jayashri’s Carnatic Vocal. The jugalbandi will be followed by Pandit Rajan Sajan Mishra’s Hindustani Vocal. On the second day on 31st July of the musical program Gundecha Brothers will perform Dhrupad which will be followed by Jugalbandi by Pandit Vijay Ghate on table and Pandit Bhawani Shankar on Pakhawaj. On the third and the last day the program will start with Jugalbandi by Ganesh and Kumresh (Carnatic Violin). Begub Parween Sultana a well known Hindustani Vocalist will conclude the musical ceremony with her beautiful crooning.
