Nagpur: Film producer Sandeep Ssingh, who has produced biopics like Mary Kom and Sarbjit while co-producing few other B-town flicks, has recently caught the eye of storm following controversy over his latest yet to be released political biopic PM Narendra Modi.
Reliable sources informed that Singh will be showing the movie to RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and other top party leaders in Nagpur on Wednesday, before it hit theatres. However Singh’s visit is being dubbed as a PR exercise as he has also called a press conference at Press Club today at around 3 pm.
Sources said that apart from the objections raised from various quarters including Opposition parties against the movie’s release, RSS cadres were also reportedly upset over the film’s content derogatory to its political image.
In order to clear the air, Singh will be showing the movie to get green signal from RSS.
Earlier, the Supreme Court has also cleared decks for the movie’s release following which it is all set to hit screens on April 11.
Nagpur Today made several attempts to contact producer Sandeep S Singh and movie PR team in this regard, however none of messages and phone calls were answered. Even WhatsApp messages were not replied.
