Nagpur: A Science Expo is being organized at Raman Science Centre from January 18 to 22, 2017. The Science Expo, to be participated by 13 renowned institutions, will be inaugurated by Additional Director of Geological Survey of India Dr N Kutumbarao. NEERI Director Dr Rakesh Kumar will grace the occasion as special guest. The Expo will remain open from 11 am to 5.30 pm. Lectures on various topics will be held between 12 noon and 3 pm.
Information regarding various research activities being done by science and technology institutions will be shared with the visitors. The Science Expo is aimed at reducing the gap between society and science. The event seeks cooperation and coordination between students, scientists and common people in exchanging knowledge. The Expo will also provide information regarding various research activities being undertaken and achievements in different branches of science.
A total of 13 renowned institutions are taking part in the Science Expo including Anthropological Survey of India, Atomic Mineral Survey and Research Directorate, Geological Survey of India, Central Institute of Cotton Research, Central Citric Fruit Research Institute, NEERI, NECL, Jawaharlal Nehru Aluminium Research, Design and Development Centre, GMCH, Nuclear Power Corporation of India, Raman Science Centre and Space Research, Regional Remote Sensing and Applications Centre, etc. Lecture series on various scientific topics has also been organized during the Science Expo.
