Nagpur News: DVDs of films like ‘Gandhi’ and ‘The making of Mahatma’ will be distributed in schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The CBSE had requested National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) for CDs/DVDs of landmark Films ‘Gandhi’, ‘The making of Mahatma’, ‘Sardar’ and ‘Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’ to be distributed in schools affiliated to the Board.
With the present syllabus, students learn about these legends through books only. But, showing the movies on these legends will help them understand the struggle and circumstances in a better and long lasting way. It will help to understand their subject better and with ease.
Four DVD sets of the above mentioned films are currently under production to be sent to various schools/ colleges/universities/Research Institutions as per the advice of the ministry of Culture.
