Nagpur: July 1 marked the return of students to schools across the Nagpur district and the Vidarbha region, as they began their new academic year with fresh uniforms, new bags, and the company of their friends.
The bustling scenes at school gates reflected the excitement and anticipation of a new beginning.
The reopening followed a directive from Ulhas Narad, Deputy Director of Education, who had instructed all Education Officers to start the new academic session on July 1st.
Initially, the summer break, which started on May 1st, was set to end on June 15th. However, the harsh summer heat typical of Vidarbha prompted a reconsideration. Authorities decided to delay the reopening to June 30th.
Since June 30th fell on a Sunday, the schools ultimately reopened today. This decision aimed to ensure the comfort and safety of students, allowing them to return to school in more favorable conditions.
