Nagpur: A private school bus reportedly knocked down a motorcycle causing the death of a middle aged man at Rathi Hospital here on Friday. The deceased, Prakash Yadavrao Jagtap (51), was a resident of Babulkheda, Ajni. His elder brother Gajanan Daulatrao Jagtap (65), has lodged an FIR with Dhantoli Police in this connection.
Prakash was travelling with his bike (MH/31/BJ/8225) when he met with a mishap after a rashly driven school bus (MH/40/BG/7412) dashed him from the behind near Ahilyabai Mandir Chowk at around 7.30 am on December 1. Prakash was rushed to a hospital and police officials with critical injuries.
During the treatment, Prakash succumbed to his grievous injuries on Friday. In the meantime, cops have registered an offence against the accused bus driver. Further investigation is underway.
