Nagpur: The Ward Corporator Harshala Sable, former Mayor Archana Dehankar, Women and Children Welfare Committee Chairperson Rashmi Fadnavis paid floral tributes to Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule on her 186th birth anniversary today.
The dignitaries visited Subhash Road Garden and Mahatma Phule Market and garlanded the statue of Savitribai Phule while paying their tributes on behalf of Nagpur City. Office-bearers of BJP Mahila Aghadi and citizens were present on the occasion.
Savitribai worked as both an educational reformer and social reformer, especially for women.
