Nagpur News : Holi celebrations were marred in Pachpaoli area when a 21-year-old goon attacked a man over old quarrel. The injured, who sustained grievous injuries, has been admitted to Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment.

Pachpaoli police said that the complainant is Ravindra Parasram Bagde (34), a resident of Maskasath, Sambhaji Kasar Mohalla, Dhiwrapur, near Hanuman Mandir. Cops further informed that the accused Jaggu (21), who earlier lived in the complainant’s locality, often visited the area to meet his friends. He eyed the complainant’s daughter earlier due to which he received scolding from Ravindra’s wife.

On Monday at around 4 pm, Jaggu again visited his friends to wish and play Holi with his friends. He approached Ravindra’s wife and started using abusive language for scolding him the other day. Ravindra intervened to stop Jaggu from misbehaving with his wife. Jaggu, who was raving with anger, took out a knife from his pocket and attacked Ravindra. He sustained injuries on his chest, hands and legs. Jaggu escaped the scene leaving Ravindra in a pool of blood. Nearby residents rushed Ravindra to Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment and informed Pachpaoli police about the incidence.

Cops registered an offence of attempt to murder against Jaggu under Sections 307 of the IPC and have launched a search for the accused.
