Nagpur: Maharashtra Government on Tuesday notified posting of Saumya Sharma as new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nagpur Zilla Parishad. The post was vacant after incumbent Yogesh Kumbhejkar was transferred on completion of tenure. He joined as Collector at Bhandara district last week.

In earlier orders of the Indian Administrative Officer (IAS), the State Government had posted Bhagyashree Vispute to Nagpur Zilla Parishad. She was posted at Buldhana Zilla Parishad. But she did not take-up the posting and it was speculated that the order was being modified and Nitin Gadre, Additional Chief Secretary (Services), Maharashtra Government, on Monday notified cancellation of her posting to Nagpur ZP.

Saumya Sharma belongs to the 2018 batch of IAS and is currently working as Assistant Collector, Deglur Sub Division, in Nanded District. Sharma is a very fine writer of English and she overcame hearing impairment to secure AIR 9th rank in UPSC exam. She is from AGMUT cadre of IAS.
