‘Sanyukt’- Revisiting concept of joint family!

Nagpur: No family is a perfect family, we fight, we argue, we even stop talking to each other but in the end family is family, the love which is perfect in the family that will always remain forever.

To highlight the problems and importance of living in a joint family Zee TV’s brings a serial ‘Sanyukt’. The lead Shubhangi Latkar recently visited the city to promote upcoming serial ‘Sanyukt’.

Shubhangi Latkar has been seen in various popular Hindi and Marathi films and shows. She is known for her roles in films like Bodyguard, Singham Returns and Aashiqui 2. Now she will be seen playing the role of Ila Govardhan Mehta in ‘Sanyukt’.
The story revolves around senior citizen couple, Govardhan Bhai Mehta and Ila Govardhan Mehta, who stay in Mumbai. They believe they share a cordial relationship with their sons who do not stay with them, despite being in the same city. Feeling the importance of standing by each other as a unit, they decide to get their entire family to stay together. They propose this idea to their Sons and their families, hoping that they will readily agree. But to their utter dismay, their children do not agree to it!

What follows is a heart-warming journey of the parents to mend their broken family to become one big happy joint family.

While speaking to media personnel Shubhangi Latkar said ‘Sanyukt’ is real drama which every common man can relate to. While explaining about her role she said she will be seen in the role of a simple mother with no negative role. Briefing about other characters she said Actors Harsh Vashisht will be playing his eldest son, Parimal Mehta and Namrata Thapa will play his wife, Gayatri Parimal Mehta. Mohit Sharma will play the character of Niranjan Mehta and Urvashi Sharma will be seen as Rita Niranjan Mehta. Actors Maninder Singh and Suraj Kakkar will be seen playing the third and fourth sons of Govardhan Mehta – Rahul and Sameer respectively.

The show was being said to be adapted from Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini’s hit film Baghban. , Shubhangi Latkar said that the story line of ‘Sanyukt’ is no where similar the only similarity between the two is that both the stories highlight joint family.
