NAGPUR/MUMBAI: Keeping an eye on the upcoming elections season, the State government on Friday appointed presidents, vice-presidents and chairmen to the vacant posts of its development corporations and authorities.
Among those appointed to these posts, Sandip Joshi, leader of ruling party in Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), has been appointed as president of Small Scale Industries Corporation while Ashish Jaiswal, former Shiv Sena MLA from Ramtek Assembly constituency, has been appointed as president of Mining Corporation. The State government today filled vacant posts of a total of 10 corporations, six divisions, and two authorities.
Hazi Arafat Sheikh and Jagannath Motiram Abhyankar were appointed as president and vice-president of Maharashtra State Minorities Commission respectively; Balasaheb Dnyandeo Patil was appointed chairman of Konkan Housing and Area Development Commission; Hazi S Haider Azam was appointed president of Maulana Azad Minorities Finance Development Corporation; Sadashiv Dadasaheb Khade was appointed president of Pimpri-Chinchwad New City Development Authority; Narendra Annasaheb Patil and Sanjay alias Sanjoy Marutirao Pawar were appointed as president and vice-president of Annasaheb Patil Finance Development Corporation respectively; Ashish Jaiswal was appointed president of Maharashtra State Mining Corporation; Prakash Nakul Patil was appointed president of Maharashtra State Textile Corporation; Nitin Sampatrao Bangude-Patil was appointed vice-president of Maharashtra Krishna Khore Development Corporation; Jagdish Bhagwan Dhondi was appointed vice-president of Konkan Irrigation Development Corporation; Uday Samant was appointed president of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority; Jyoti Deepak Thakre was appointed president of Women Finance Development Corporation; Vinod Ghosalkar was appointed chairman of Mumbai Building Repairs and Re-structuring Commission; Raghunath Babanrao Kuchik was appointed president of Maharashtra State Minimum Wages Advisory Commission; Mudhu Chavan was appointed president of Mumbai Housing and Area Development Commission, Sandip Joshi was appointed president of Maharashtra State Small Scale Industries Development Corporation; Prashant Thakur was appointed president of Urban and Industrial Development Corporation; Mohd Tariq Qureshi was appointed president of Nagpur Housing and Area Development Commission; and Raja alias Sudhakar Tukaram Sarvade was appointed president of Mahatma Phule Backward Classes Finance Development Corporation.
