Sakkardara cops crack down suicide case, two booked

suicide_logo_transparent_by_satanen-d2ytxbyNagpur: On August 13, a woman had killed her daughter by throwing her daughter into a water tank and later hanged self in her residence. Sakkardara police cracked down the case and booked two persons, including a woman, for abetting her to commit suicide.

The deceased, Jyotsana Balvir Gondane (27), was a resident of new Subhedar layout, Nashik Nagar, Hudkeshwar Road, putting at the residence of Keshavrao Yadav. On August 13, she threw her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter in the water tank and later hanged herself to the ceiling of her residence. Her son noticed her hanging body and informed other family members. On the basis of the complaint lodged by Keshavrao Yadav, Sakkardara police registered an offence under Section 302 and started their investigations.

Investigations revealed that Jyotsana was relative of Karmaveer Pundalik Telang, a native of Shindewahi, Chandrapur. The accused Manisha Bawne and Hemraj Bawne invested Rs One lakh in Vinta Tek Company owned by Karmaveer. But, the company proved to be fraud and Manisha and Hemraj suffered losses. However, Manisha and Hemraj started pressurising Jyotsana to return their money through her relative, Karmaveer. The accused even passed threatening warnings to Jyotsana demanding their money back and visited regularly for their money. Over stressed with the pressure from Manisha and Hemraj, Jyotsana decided to end her life. She first killed her daughter and then committed suicide.

On the basis of the complaint by Balvir Gondane, Sakkardara police registered an offence under Sections 306 and 34 of the IPC and booked Manisha and Hemraj.
