Nagpur: Stunts atop car roof proved costly for some brats in Nagpur as police seized five cars and booked seven youths after the video of the “Stuntbaji” went viral on social media. The ‘Sadak chhap’ incident reportedly took place in Chhaoni area of the city on April 1.
According to reports, some luxury cars like Audi had come to a garage for repairs. The miscreants used the cars for filmy style stunts. The group of seven brats boarded five cars and reached Chhaoni Road. One of the youths stood atop the roof of a car and resorted to stunts. Other youths followed suit and indulged in a stunt spree. Soon a crowd gathered and some of them made a video of the stunts.
The stunt video soon went viral. Taking serious note, the city police swung into action. Sadar police registered a case and started investigation. Cops seized five cars including an Audi (MH-12/GW 0100), Scorpio (MH-40/AC 8591), Volkswagen (MH-31/EA 2786), Tata Safari (MH-40/BJ3036) and Renault (MH-43/9864).
Those booked by cops include Mushir Sheikh, Vipin Nair, Melvin Varthin, Aslan Baig, Shahnawaz Qureshi, Hasan Sheikh and Imran Ansari. These seven brats have been booked under various Sections of Motor Vehicles Act. Further probe is underway.
