Nagpur: The newly-appointed Nagpur District Collector Sachin Kurve takes charge as the District Collector on Wednesday the May 20, 2015 at 11 am.
The outgoing District Collector Abhishek Krishna has been transferred to Pune. He will be replaced by Sachin Kurve.
New District Collector is presently holding the post of the Director at Vanamati. He took over charge from Abhishek Krishna at 11:00 am. During his tenure as District Collector, Abhishek Krishna had performed well for a period of nearly 15 months. However, sources in Administrative circles claimed that he should have been given more time to bring about pro-active changes. It is also learnt that Abhishek Krishna is also unhappy due to the untimely transfer which was effected even before completion of his tenure.
