Ruby meet Advocate XI in final

Nagpur News: RUBY Cricket Association will lock horns with Advocate XI in the final of the BCS Challenger Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament. The final would be played on December 13,2013 at 12 noon at Bishop Cotton School ground. The tournament is organised by Royal Cricket Association.

However in the first semi-final, Ruby stunned Central Railway by eight wickets. With, Batting first, Central Railway scored 130 runs losing six wickets in 20 overs.

Sanjog Binkar top scored with 35 runs while Vikas Yadav added 27. Prabodhan Janbandhu chipped in with valuable 23.

For Ruby, Rahul Nair, Prajwal Baniya and Azhar Sheikh took two wickets each. In reply, Ruby achieved the target in 11.3 overs losing two wickets. In form batsman Aman Sharma slammed 64 runs while Gaurav Upadhyay added 37. Anirudha Chore contributed 21 runs in his team’s victory.  For Central Railway, Ankush Lokhande took two wickets.
In second semi-final, Advocate XI edged out Green City Club by 10 runs in a close encounter. Amit Deshpande scored 49 while Shahnawaz Khan added 41 as Advocate XI scored 167 from 20 overs. Anup Fulper made 37 runs. From Green City, Akash Gautel and Krishna Kumar took two wickets each.Green City Club were restricted at 157 for 9 in 20 overs with Owesh Syed (34), Raja Sharif (31), Krishna Bamhane (24) being the scorers.
For Advocate XI, medium pacer Faiyaz Alam took four wickets while Shahnawaz Khan took three and Jay Baghel one. Furthermore, Rt. Rev Paul Dupare, Bishop of Nagpur Diocese, will be the chief guest of the final.
