RTMNU’s Zoological Society inaugurated (1)
Nagpur:
Former Director of National Environment Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Dr Tapan Chakrabarti on Friday inaugurated the Zoological Society of RTMNU’s Department of Zoology. The introductory address was delivered by President of Zoological Society Dr M S Sastry, Head and Professor, Department of Zoology while Secretary Vaibhav Zade read out the annual report.

The former NEERI Director Chakrabarti, on the occasion, delivered a talk on the topic “Sustainable development and Environment.” He elaborated on the use of ecological aspects of energy sources to save our environment. Chakrabarti also talked on natural processes and manmade techniques for the use of energy and

about adapting ecological renewable source of energy. Concluding his address, the former NEERI Director dwelt on inspirational thoughts to research

scholars and students that drew an instant applause.

The Zoological Society for the year 2015-2016 was constituted with office bearers as follows: President Dr. M. S. Sastry, Vice President Dr S. C. Masram, Treasurer Dr. V. T. Dhurve, Secretary Vaibhav Zade, Joint Secretary Ankita Sharma, Research Scholar Representative Jitendra Kirsan, Class Representatives Heena Bhoyar and Tilak Dhobale, Ladies Representatives Sonam Bansod and Samrin Khan, Seminar Secretaries Vaibhav Zade and Radhika Pathaniya and Short

Excursion Secretaries Anurag Bhabhare and Rupchand Dongarwar.

The programme was conducted  by Dr S. C. Masram and vote of thanks was proposed by Jitendra Kirsan. Other faculty members Dr. V.V. Baile, Dr S. B. Zade, Dr. A. G. Jadhav, Dr. D. D. Barsagade, Dr. V. T. Dhurve, Dr. S. C. Masram, Research scholars, M.Sc. students and all non teaching staff took great efforts to make the programme a success.
