The Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has announced academic calendar (time-table) for the year 2013-2014. However, according to experts in the education field, they have been raising questions over summer examination results if one scans the RTMNU calendar for 2013-2014 session. The RTMNU has so far declared results of 12.1 per cent (106 courses) but the results of massive 87.9 per cent (771 courses) have yet to be declared. The fact on ground reality is enough to raise many an eyebrow keeping in mind the RTMNU decision on 2013-2014 calendar.
The RTMNU was forced to postpone the date of several examinations earlier scheduled on March 23 indefinitely due to strike by the teachers. The examinations include BSc, B.Com, BA, and similar 48 examinations. The non-cooperation by the teachers in any exam related work greatly delayed the valuation of answer-sheets. And, for the same reason, the declaration of the results is being getting delayed. The experts have been apprehending the start of new educational sessions, too, after considering the RTMNU announcement of education calendar for the session of 2013-2014.
The RTMNU academic calendar for 2013-2014 session is as follows:
1) ANNUAL PATTERN
a) First Session: From June 17 to October 31, 2013.
b) Winter Vacation: 01.11.2013 to 01.12.2013
c) Second Term: 02.12.2013 to 30.4.2014
d) Summer Vacation: 01. 05.2014 to 16.06.2014
2. Admissions in colleges
a) Last date of Admission: 5th August, 2013
b) Last date for Admissions with prior permission of the Vice-Chancellor: 5th September, 2013
3. Last date of submission of Enrolment forms to the university: Within fifteen days from the last date of Admissions.
4. Examinations
a) Supplementary examination: 20. 06.2013
b) Winter Examinations: 10.10.2013
Last date for receipt of exam forms
a) Regular Students: 15.7.2013
b) External Students: 15.5.2013
c) Old Ex-Students: 15.5.2013
d) Ex-students of immediately previous examinations: Within 15 days from the date of declaration of the results of summer exams.
