nagpur-universityNagpur News: Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has announced the timetable for holding special examinations of 6616 students for 14 courses. The RTMNU move comes after Governor’s Office accorded its consent to the Ordinance that facilitated special exams of the students 63 colleges. The exams will begin from August 28 and will last till September 26. The papers will be held from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm on all exam days.

The 63 colleges out of the 250 colleges have completed the process of appointing at least one regular teacher. Subsequently, the RTMNU regularized the admissions of 6616 students of these 63 colleges and thus paved the way for conducting the special exam which will begin from August 28.

Affidavit:

However, it is mandatory for all these 63 colleges to submit an affidavit to the University stating adherence to the rules that the students completed 180 days of academic session and 90 days of academic session for semester. Similarly, adherence to rule pertaining to 75 percent attendance of students has to be stated in the affidavit.

It may be recalled, the RTMNU, by a notification issued on June 7, 2013, had barred admissions in 250 colleges for not having a single regular teacher and for indulging in other irregularities. The ban had become a flashpoint of a major showdown between college managements and the RTMNU leading to dozens of agitations.

The courses:

The courses for which the special exams will be held include BBA, Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Fashion Design, Bachelor of Textile Science, Bachelor of Physical Education, MBA, CVS and others.
