Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has decided to defer the exam dates in view of Lok Sabha elections. Voting in Nagpur is scheduled to be held on April 10. Accordingly, RTMNU will change the exam dates to be held 2-3 days before April 10 and 2-3 days after April 10. The change of dates would be uploaded on RTMNU website on Monday after discussions among Administrative Officers. Colleges and schools are converted into polling booths during elections.

The Pro-Vice Chancellor Maheshkumar Yenki said that the teachers of colleges would be busy in election works. After considering this aspect, the dates of how many exams should be changed will be decided after detailed discussions. The changed dates will be declared on RTMNU’s website, said Yenki.

The Class X and Class XII examinations of State Board have not been affected by the Lok Sabha elections but the dates other exams of schools would have to be changed. Teachers are deployed for election duties and the training for same is held and thus the school working is affected forcing change of dates of examinations.
