RTMNU officials squarely blame clerical error for blunders in LLB Fourth Semester results

RashtrasantTukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) officials have squarely blamed the clerical staff of University for the major blunders in the results LLB fourth semester which were declared on July 29 and again on August 6 in which some students got identical marks in some papers and some got failed. The officials have termed the goof-ups simply a human error during the data entry process.

According to information, during the evaluation of the papers, one of the questions was out of syllabus and university had revised the original marks of the students who had attempted that question. However, during the data entry the marks were not properly allotted and the confusion of identical marks had cropped up. The university officials claimed that the issued has been addressed and the mistake has been rectified.

University results have from time to time been declared with major flaws. And the onus of it has always been put on the lack of manpower. Some of the academicians state that the examination section higher ups are not capable to visualize the problem and find appropriate solution to the mess.

It is not that the insufficient staff should be the excuse for the errors committed. Earlier also, huge number of examinations were conducted but the authority running the affairs conducted them smoothly and results were declared on time.

According to information, about 200 examination results are still pending, the exams of which concluded about 2 months back.
MSc mathematics (old) students are awaiting results since the past 4 months. From last year, semester pattern has been introduced in this course. However, students of annual pattern had appeared for their exams in the month of March 2014 which concluded on April 4. But four months have passed but still their results are not declared.
