RTMNU accepts Dr Baban Taywade Committee suggestions on 50 % permanent Teaching staff

Notification issued on the website stating the directives to be followed by the colleges

Nagpur Today: Finally, the issue of filling of at least 50 percent teaching posts in all the colleges affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has found a solution workable both for the colleges and the Varsity. A notification on the same has been issued on the university website on Thursday, July 24,2014.

A 5 member committee was constituted under the chairmanship of Dr.Baban Taywade to find a solution and suggest recommendations  on the 250 banned college issue.

On June 1, RTMNU had displayed a notification making colleges mandatory to have 50 percent teachers course wise. Those colleges which do not appoint the number of teacher’s then examination of students of those college would not be conducted. These colleges were unable to give a admissions to the students.

According to the notification issued on Thursday, July24,2014, the recommendations of the committee are as below:

 

  • Professional and traditional courses should have at least one permanent teacher for one course.
  • All the courses should have 50 percent permanent teachers.
  • Teachers must recruit teachers by October 31, 2014.
  • The President and secretary of the college administration will have the responsibility of appointing the teachers.
  • The colleges will also have to attach 100 ruppe stamp paper along for the enrollment of the students.
