Nagpur: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has finally broken its silence over the pertaining issue of conducting Iftaar party and also over one of its functionaries active role in Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM). Rubbishing the reports in this regard, RSS Twitter handle commented, “Media reports on RSS conducting Iftar party are factually incorrect. RSS is not organising any such party.”
About the alleged role of RSS functionary named Indresh in MRM organising Iftaar party, RSS cleared that it only shares views of MRM on national issues and duly supports its national awareness programme on any national cause, RSS said in a couple of tweets.It may be mentioned that the MRM was formed in 2002 at the RSS’ initiative to bridge the divide between Hindus and Muslims and bring the two communities together.
Earliers reports said that MRM has invited the ambassadors of several countries in the iftar party scheduled on July 2.
Meanwhile, the MRM has decided not to invite Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit to its iftar party post his “insensitive” remarks on the Pampore attack in which eight CRPF jawans were martyred.
