Nagpur: In yet another house-breaking theft, Rs 1 lakh cash was stolen from a senior citizen’s house in Pratap Nagar on Wednesday night.
A resident of Plot No. 19, behind Durga Mandir, Vidya Vihar Colony, Pratap Nagar, Eknath Fattuji Nikhade (81) locked his house and went out with family on Wednesday. Between 8 pm and 10.30 pm, unidentified burglars gained entry into Nikhade’s house by breaking open the lock of the main door. The miscreants decamped with Rs 1 lakh cash kept in steel almirah in the bedroom.

Pratap Nagar ASI Vijay Raut, based on Nikhade’s complaint, registered a case under Sections 454, 457, 380 of the IPC and launched a search to nab the accused.
