Rs 1.5 lakhs stolen from Buddha Vihar

Nagpur News : Thieves struck into a Buddha Vihar in Bhankheda and decamped with cash Rs 1.5 lakhs from the donation box and also a cell phone of religious guru on Friday night. The vihar has two doors- facing west and north. Police said that the thieves entered the Vihar by breaking open the west facing door and then broke down the donation box that had cash around Rs 1.5 lakhs.

Before fleeing, the thieves also took the religious guru’s cell phone kept at the Vihar. The rest of things including the idol and valuables were left untouched. A case has been registered at Tehsil police station.
