Nagpur: In a daylight incident, two unidentified bike-borne goons burgled Rs 1.25 lakh cash from the utility box of a motorcycle in Nandanvan area here on Wednesday.

A resident of Plot No. 296, Shikshak Colony, Raut Nagar, Gajanan Bhaurao Abhare (38), withdrew Rs 1.25 lakh from his bank account around 3.45 pm on Wednesday and was returning home on his Hero Honda Splendour motorcycle (MH-40/AP 9139). Gajanan kept the cash in the utility box of his motorcycle.

Midway near Chamat School, Motilal Nagar, Dighori, two unidentified miscreants riding on a bike came from behind and tricked Gajanan by saying that cash has fallen on the road.

When Gajanan returned to his bike, he found the cash stolen.

Nandanvan API R D Bawankar, based on complaint of Gajanan Abhare, booked the two unidentified accused aged 35-40 years under Sections 379, 34 of the IPC and launched a search to nab them.
