RPF catches man stealing army’s tool boxes from goods train standing in Nagpur

Nagpur News: Ajni RPF police has arrested a man involved in the theft of army’s tool boxes from a goods train standing on the Ajni lap line in Nagpur. Another accused Shubham was said to have been absconding. The arrested accused Dinesh Raut, 24, is a resident of Kumbhartoli.

The accused reportedly burnt the cables kept in the tool box and squeezed out the wire to sell. The goods train full of army material was kept stranded in Ajni premises for the want of engine. The train arrived from Delhi and was scheduled to head for Bengaluru.

About 17 trucks, 17 trunk roll and 29 tool boxes were loaded in this goods train with 34 bogies. There were only 3 security men in the train who were not sufficient to keep a vigil on such a long train.

Taking advantage of the situation, the accused Dinesh and his accomplice Shubham stole some tool boxes from the train. Next morning, when the incident came to light the railway police launched a manhunt and eventually succeeded in nabbing the accused on ghat road. The two were reportedly taking the churned out wire after burning the cable to sell. The accused was sent to jail after being presented in the court.
