Nagpur: Since years regularly right from the gram panchayat to assembly during winter session openly charges are levelled of mineral theft. It is alleged that the Nagpur district administration and the District MIning Department are are hand in glove in the mineral theft.
Social worker Vivek Sisodiya resident of Chakki Khapa has levelled one more allegation that though the royalty period of MEP Company had ended yet it has been transporting the material on the outer ring road construction work. In this regard he has alleged that that it is distict administration which is supporting the company. Sisodiya has threatened that if legal action is not taken against the District Administartion and National Highway Authority, he would knock the door of court.
According to Sisodiya the Pune’s MEP company has been assisting the National Highway Authority in the construction of outer ring road. The first charge on National Highway Authority’s Ring Road Officer of Divisional Office Nagpur and contractor company was that they had been working leaving the centre line. The construction work of the road was of sub standard and the royalty allotted for the road was over yet the the transportation work was going on which made it clear that the theft of mineral was goiing on causing heavy revenue loss to district administration.
Accpording to Sisodiya on talking to the truck tipper drivers it has come to light that they were just following the orders.The transporter and constractor company MEP are involved in illegal activities, it is alleged. The big and small truck tippers transporters are working for Abhishek Sharma .
It may be mentioned that MEP was given the contractor of construction of outer ring road for Rs 12,00 crore at first and the amount ccould have been raised in the name of GST. For the mining supplies district administration allotts the mines but the contractor and District Mining Department are excavating 10 times extra and causing revenue loss.
