Nagpur: Sahara India chief Subrato Roy is on a visit to the city as part of his second countrywide tour after his release on parole in May 2016. He had visited Nagpur in June last year too.

The present trip will cover 18 cities. At Nagpur, Roy will address the group’s employees and other business associates at indoor sports stadium at Mankapur on Monday.

As many as 3,000 persons are expected to attend the close-door meet, say sources. After Nagpur, Roy will hold a similar meet in Ahmedabad. Sources say general issues related to business and future plans will be discussed at the meet on Monday.

The group’s assets are under embargo, following a Supreme Court order.Roy has been meeting the employees through such events since his release. He was granted parole after his mother’s death.

Sahara also has a real estate project in the city which has been delayed. On Sunday, members of Sahara City Homes Aggrieved Customers’ Forum met Roy.

“We insisted on early completion of work as well as payment of 15% interest on account of the delay. He the company was not in a position to spend money on the project due to the embargo,” said Dinesh Chabra of the forum.

Chabra said, members of the forum were advised to move the court to get their problem sorted.

If needed, the company would also help them avail legal services.

During an earlier meeting with the forum members in June 2016, Roy had given them the same advise. Roy has agreed to a sale deed for the deals of the units which have been completed till date, said Chabra.
