Round Table India extends flood-relief to Assam

With its motto, as, ‘Service to Mankind is Service to God, or may it more simplistically be put as ‘manav seva hi madhav seva hai,’ the Round Table India, an NGO, extended necessary relief to the latest flood affected in Assam.

The said NGO, filled with commitment and passion as exhibited by the Tablers of Area IV and XIV supplied to the flood affected the necessary relief material which the tablers procured through fund generation.

The havoc caused by the flood:
Over 50 people died, 1.5 million impacted, 1.20 million left homes and taking shelters in more than relief camps, 17 districts and some 1,276 villages affected, and about 92,820 hectare of crop area hit.

Appeal:
Assma Chief Minster Tarun Gogoi told Thomsan Reuters Foundation, ” We need urgent assistance and relief material for the flood-affected people from Central Government. We have exhausted all out limited resources. We are in a helpless situation.”
