Nagpur: Philanthropy is not a one-time effort. It is a sustained continuous on-going process. The Round Table 83 has just proved to be truly philanthropists by their sustained efforts in achieving their main objectives. In continuation of their efforts to construct more class-rooms for the under-privileged children, A Bhoomipujan for the construction of a New Wing at ‘Jeevan Shikshan Vidyalaya’ run by the Uday Shikshan Sanstha at Untakhana. The symbolic ground breaking was performed by National President of Round Table India Suman Voora and Area Chairman of Round Table Hitesh Kering. Many tablers of Round Table 83 had taken out time from their busy schedule to be present on the occasion.
Suman Voora from Round Table 42, Chennai and Hitesh Kering from Round Table 15, Pune both were present as Chief Guests who graced this occasion. Present Chairman of Nagpur Round Table 83 Gaurav Agrawal was also present at this event.
Round Table 83 has upheld the Round Table India’s initiative of reaching education to the poor and needy. Round Table India has tied up with Procter & Gamble India through their initiative ‘Shiksha’ and has taken up the mandate of building infrastructure for schools which provide education to the needy and poor across the country.
After identifying this school with its need for a better infrastructure, Nagpur Round Table-83 had built two class-rooms on the first floor. They have now decided to build three additional class-rooms for the school. Uday Shikshan Sanstha is an organization which has been involved in the noble work since 1959 here in Untkhana.
While speaking to Nagpur Today, Hitesh Kering from Round Table 15, Pune said that Round Table 83 has grown tremendously. Almost every year they have come up with a new project. He sees the Round Table 83 grow in leaps and bounds in the next 5 years so much that they have to split it and add two new Round Tables. He added that Nagpur Round Table 83 is one of the strongest Round Tables in Area 3 which includes cities like Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Sholapur, Bhillai, Bilaspur, Raipur and Nagpur.
Hitesh Kering claimed that the bonding of Round Table 83 is one of the best which makes them different. He said that since most of the Tablers in Round Table 83 in the age group of 34-35 (since the Tablers retire at the age of 40 years), they are able to gel well and function well towards the noble cause. Their progress is going to skyrocket and provide much better infrastructures in future to the poor and needy.
Suman Voora from Round Table 42, Chennai while speaking to Nagpur Today said that Nagpur Round Table 83 is one of the most promising Tables of the country. One will get to see a lot of future Nation leaders for the Round Table India.
Present Chairman of Round Table 83 Gaurav Agrawal said that they have taken up the noble initiative of building infrastructure for those schools which are imparting education to the poor and needy and are in dire need of finances to build more class-rooms. According to Gaurav Agrawal, their initiative which started in 2000 has kept growing steadily and has added 4-5 classrooms every year.
