Nagpur: Upcoming shuttler of orange city Ritika Thaker has reached the top ranking in India in the girls under 17 doubles event with her mumbai partner Simran Singhi as per latest ranking updated by Badminton Association Of India. Ritika and Simran both have 1215 ranking points.
Another thing to mention is that Ritika is seeded 4th in the singles event in the same age group. The only girl from Nagpur to win an international title trains under Robin Simon and Ajay dayal, at his Ajay Dayal Badminton Academy and is student of CDS school. After a steady performance last year at various tournaments she has claimed the numero uno spot in the country.
