Reading habit is must to gain knowledge, personality development: Dange

Nagpur: The Librarian of Government Library V M Dange exhorted young boys and girls to inculcate reading habit for gaining knowledge and personality development. “Reading habit is the best tool to gain knowledge and develop personality,” the Librarian said while presiding over a function held on the occasion of “Vachan Prerna Din” here the other day.

Retired District Information Officer Chandrakant Kshirsagar was the chief guest. Technical Assistant Hemant Kalokhe and Book Section Officer Chandrashekhar Meshram were also present.

Delivering her presidential speech, Dange highlighted the aim of organizing “Vachan Prerna Din” and gave example of former President late APJ Abdul Kalam’s love for books and reading. The youngsters should visit the Government Library and study the late President’s books, autography of experiences and other valuable write-ups.

The birth anniversary of APJ Abdul Kalam is observed as “Vachan Prerna Din” on October 15 and the programme was held at Divisional Government Library.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Chandrashekhar Meshram.
